Infinite Sky

Turn your back on the world
Block out the din
And stare at the infinite sky
Let your worries take flight
And float into the night
As a billion light years go by

Try to tap into the spinning
We often forget that we are
At one thousand miles an hour I think
Sit still and you've travelled quite far

If that doesn't flatten your ego
Then take a long look at a star
It's just dust and gas with a temporary glow
And remind yourself that's what we are

The truth is out there somewhere
Although it's not easy to see
You might pierce it through strict meditation
Steal a glimpse if you take LSD

But if you can't see it take comfort
For we all get our chance by and by
Let it all go, at the end, then you'll know
Of the truth in the infinite sky
