Some Of My Favourite Musical Songs.

There are some amazing songs out there, songs I grew up with and songs that have deep meaning to me then and now.

One of my favourite musicals is My Fair Lady! I love the whole film, the beginning, the middle and the end, and all the songs but if I had to pick one, it would be, Wouldn't It Be Lovely.

My second favourite musical is Oliver, I grew up with this film, and can't watch it now for it is too sad in parts. One of my favourite song from the film is, Where Is Love?

Another of my favourite films of ALL time is Yentl, I was single at the time and living alone, it was a difficult time, when one day I saw this amazing, amazing film! Lots of things were happening in my life with no Dad and no Husband and I wanted both of their love. My favourite song, I love them ALL but, the one that stands out for me is Papa, Can You Hear Me?

My final song from a musical is from a film I have never seen, but maybe one day I will buy the DVD of it, the film is Les Miserables and the song, made famous to me and many who like me, had never heard of the film or the song, until it was sang on the X Factor by Susan Boyle, the amazing song is called, I Dreamed A Dream. Her dreams came true! Watching Susan that day in her audition, who could have imagined her life would change SO much over night!

Hi, TK. I'm a big fan of old Hollywood musicals and some modern ones. My favourite old ones are Guys and Dolls, High Society, Carousel, The Man Of La Mancha, The Music Man and Thoroughly Modern Millie. My favourite modern-ish ones are Little Shop Of Horrors, Finian's Rainbow,Sweet Charity, Bugsy Malone, Fiddler On the Roof and Grease but I also like My Fair Lady and Audrey Hepburn's other musical Funny Face. There's a lot more but I can't think of them right now.

What a lot! I remember the queue around the cinema walls when Grease first came out! I remember how excited I felt, we were like six abreast!I'd forgotten about that one! But of all the ones I have chosen, Papa, can you hear me, is my favourite.
