"normal" is a tightrope
with the ground so far below
one foot behind the other
see how far that you can go
a frantic pace will kill you
so you've got to take it slow
"normal" is a tightrope
and your balance is your foe
"normal" is a river
with few stones to step across
the swirling eddies swallow
leaves no witness to your loss
you have no leg to stand on
when the current is the boss
"normal" is a river
let the waters catch and toss
"normal" is a tunnel
barely room to make it through
the walls are bulging inwards
and the caverns, small and few
you've no sense of direction
for your compass lost its screw
"normal" is a tunnel
and there's no one there but you

I've no sense of direction, that's for sure, alvin. 'Spatially challenged', I think would described me more than aptly.
Enjoyed your poem, very much;-)
