early in the morning
rain still clinging to the roads
the sun moves slyly, sneaking a kiss
with the horizon
most are not awake to see it, but it happens;
and if they knew, they would not put down
the sun visors in their car
but rather watch, to know that,
as bright as the sun shines that day,
nothing could compare to the short moments
it clings to the horizon;
in love, and like us,
awaking and leaving
and returning to
sleep with our
beloved

beautifully penned - of that moment. Sunrise or Sunset, I like the ending of your poem - like the image, how the leaving and returning to the beloved completes the day. Good one.
