A friend tried telling me
that God made the world with no
extra parts. In my mind flashed the
idea of many circumcisions, performed
as a religious experience that, in all reality,
just removes sensation from children who will
never know any better.

My friend's mother tried
shouting religion into me, by
saying that it doesn't matter if
I'm a good person. She said that
you could murder ten people, still
find God, and still go to Heaven.
You can be the worst person in the
world. You just have to believe!

If these are the ideas of religion,
then count me out. It's my personal
belief that you don't judge anyone
on anything, and if you do, then
you're no equal to the people
sitting next to you. Might
as well be the gum on the
bottom of their shoe.
In fact, it's
starting to
resemble
you.

Religion, a pigeon,
a smidgen of love in
a vast majority of hate.
I'm glad that you've got
something to believe in,
but listen to its words
and celebrate. Open doors
and say nice words, and if
someone needs help, give it.
You don't have to do this
constantly. Just try to
practice it.
