Apocalips

Those incongruously red hills and valleys
hide a lovely yet disturbing secret.
Undulating
your moist and luscious lips become
a sculptural statement
apocalyptic,
a Dali sofa standing out
like a sore thumb in the bleak,
blinding snowfield of your wan,
delicious,
thoroughly icy skin -
a badge perhaps
to pin more brutally than necessary
to your unusually glacial heart.
Delicately reflecting a cheeky glint
of moonlight, your luscious lips
so very very red
condemn with apoplectic fury
the only righteous king to death
with unnecessary glee,
castigating, aggravating, palpitating
and frankly my dear, my only love,
my desperately beautiful honey-bunch,
with a bile more nauseating
than I've ever encountered before.
Power corrupts.
