To be read fast
Red room
Hazy gloom
Latino tune
Near full moon
Silver straps
Rhythmic claps
Quick-footed traps
“A dance perhaps?”
Too late to leave
Don’t think –believe
Just turn and twist and slide and weave
Let the syrupy motion relieve
your aching bones
your unpaid loans
miserable groans
life’s unknowns
Immerse yourself in the beat
hold on tight and stamp your feet
but for god’s sake don’t take the lead
you’re the girl –we’re all agreed
Slithering hips
Parted lips
Unnoticed trips
Susie q’s, Hercules and dips
Hands in the air
A shake of the hair
Bring the sass and style and flare
And begin your salsa love affair

Congrats on the cherries, a sassy and rhythmical poem which I have re-read a few times now just for the fun of sounding it out.
