Summery memories
of green and blue and gold;
the world so bright and trouble free
and I, just five years old;
waist deep within the unmown grass,
up to my heart in joy.
The days, like clouds, they seemed to pass;
now where's that little boy?
He is still here; his joy survives
deep in the heart of me.
Each summer keeps his soul alive
to make new memories.

Sweet memories, John.
Waist deep within the unknown grass
I remember days like those.
