A September day;
leaves still green and sky still blue;
Summer holding on.
The Autumn is here
when Maple leaves spread wings and
become birds of fire.
Who washes her long
golden hair in the river?
The bright willow tree.
Autumn Willows; heads
on fire; trying to douse
them in the river.
Now it is Autumn
and all of the willow trees
splash gold in my eye.
The Sycamore tree
See the Sycamore tree;
its leaves like flickering flames
yet, miraculously,
Spring makes them flourish again.

Enjoyed. I remember my first
Enjoyed. I remember my first child, when i was reading a little book, and showing the picture of autumn and saying that the leaves went 'down, down, down' to the ground. He butted in to say 'and in the spring, they go up, up, up, and link on to the trees'!
