Open Mind

Judge me not for the way I dress,
Or the color of my hair,
Nor the Country I was born.
Only for what's inside,
and how I treat mankind.
I understand your fear,
Of something new, or
Unclear.
But unless we find a way
To disolve these unfavorable,
Thoughts,I fear
We will all be deprived,
And produce the next generation
Of ignorance and unkind.

Hello there, Pretty Rose.
Hello there, Pretty Rose. Nice to read you again.
End of first line of the last stanza you a need a space between 'a' and 'way'...by the way
As Rob says, an emotive message, well penned.

Yes, well put and thoughtful,
Yes, well put and thoughtful, Prettyrose.
'I understand your fear, Of something new, or Unclear.'
made me think how we need to make more effort when the outward person is from a different background, upbringing, and the body language is a bit different, so easy to make assumptions and not seek to understand one another.
