I feel like I have an entire life to fit into this Tuesday night.
This underwhelming Tuesday
where the air smells like takeaway pizzas
and the lights on the walkway outside my second floor flat are swollen with moisture
that rises from the standing water on the grey grainy floor.
I feel like I must take in every droplet, deep within my lungs
like vapour from the last canister
as the fish surround my ankles at the bottom of the sea.
Don't get the Benz.
I feel like if I do not make something of everything that could so instantly become nothing then there is no point.
The extractor fan whirs and the cars splashing through the puddles out the front are so vague
they could be something else entirely, and yet they are so essentially what they are
that I cannot even think of any other thing.
So recognisable is this small world that I secludedly inhabit that there is no possibility in my mind but cars and puddles.
I feel like this night must become something, like a dream from absinthe that stings the very fairy it creates.

There is no loss in living, there is only this night that is filled so high to the brim with thoughtless, wandering hours
that they almost spill onto the cheap brown anti slip rug that could only be from Ikea, so practical and uninspiring is it's every coarse rivet.
And I feel like I must fit every moment of life into this Tuesday night.
The extractor fan has stopped and I am illuminated by the sharp glow from the halogen downlights
And I feel like I must fit every moment of life into this Tuesday night.
The extractor fan has stopped and I am illuminated by the sharp glow from the halogen downlights
placed at such unnecessarily close intervals that one may well be the other.
My shadow is cast and there is no movement but the splashing of the puddles
as the elephants make their way past budgens through the puddles,
actually, at this time of night, it might well be the jibberwak.

Hello. I had to go for a quick log in to say what a glorious read this is. NOt quite sure what a jibberwak is, sorry, but I could see the night clearly and the words like a voiceover moving through it. I loved the long sentences and the bizarre things among the ordinary.
