Standing in the eternal dark - vomiting ideas.
What is life but an accelerating continuous flow of trivial ephemera? Subject to tidal surges, marked by flashing flanks of the turning shoal.
Some attempts have been made to stop it - stop time and fix it to the spot. Naturally, it never works. Why would it? We call this History.
Eventually, life will collide with itself, bringing the end of time. The end of history. But, of course, history is bunk.

I'd catagorise this as a poem rather than a story.

Title, and yes it matters. Everyone ought to know their work's place in the literary cosmos, it shows respect to the writing.
