A couple of days ago when it
A couple of days ago when it stopped raining I watched gold crests bobbing about in the shrubs in my garden and felt all hopeful. Then yesterday the rain was full on again and I felt fed up with it . But today I opened the curtains to bright blue skies and sunshine and thought - what on earth is that? Then I read your poem and hoped you have a spot of sunshine, too, Tina. I loved your poem. There's something hopeful and cosy about it.

Hi Tina,
Hi Tina,
with a touch of imagination, I was transported to other places you took me to in your poem.
As in the third stanza:-
I should like to write, instead,
about a butterfly settling on
a red tulip by the fountains in
Versailles...
I've been there and could imagine the gardens in Spring.
Beautifully written.
Jenny.
