It can only get verse

Sometimes I feel like grabbing the guitar by the neck
and wrapping it round the wall
Then I realise it’s not the guitar’s fault at all
And I think what a sad sight it would make
in the morning
So I take the whole thing as a warning
It’s just tiredness – and the situation in which I appear
to be caught
A simmering Saturn V of ambition, come to naught
So I put the guitar in its case and turn out the
living-room light
And head to the bathroom for a bed-time shower

i like the image of the guitar coffined up and the light turned out. Death. There's something magical about guitar hard cases with green velvet plush interiors-- i'd like to be buried in mine
glad you didn't smash the flying V. I can sympathize... there are days when you play and notes are still and unconnnected and then days of fluidity because someone nice is watching. you should post a photo
