suns approach
hilltops, Church roofs
temper gone--
not yet.
he smells hatred
on your breath, can't fathom
racial proof; whatever you are,
whoever you've become, he
can't hear
the worse
they raise pitchforks,
light torches. You'll die
in a decadence age, and
the deaf boy
will reign
the deaf boy--
he keeps

I find it impossible to give
I find it impossible to give any feedback other than I think this is good.It feels 'internal', writing that is emotionally fuelled from wiithin. I have watched the Wicker Man more than once and your poem seems to use some of this and you also grow your own story. The idea of the 'deaf boy', who still loves the girl who has gone a little mad, does this mean that the boy is innocent of the intolerance of those who fear and hate madness? The photo is interesting, makes it seem like someone's life, maybe some years after the picture is taken. Elsie
