THE PERFECT CHOICE

we contemplate quite often

on the day that we will die
and if we'll be united
with our loved ones in the sky
.
of course, we'll see our relatives
for blood runs rather deep
but what about the ones we loved
that laws allowed we'd keep
.
the rules of matrimony
are a making of our choice
apart from any strains of blood
in which we have no voice
.
so when we're elevated
to a different sort of realm
perhaps we'll see the options
of the man that's at the helm
.
he oversees the ways of love
and understands the curve
and wisely knows the chosen ones
who truly we deserve
.
instead of someone we had picked
to spend our lives on earth
perchance there is a person
who is of a greater worth
.
and they will be our partner
who shall dwell eternally
with ourselves up in the heavens
that on earth, we could not see
.
but i believe i've found the one
that God already knew
was the perfect choice prepared for me
and that of course, is you

Nice thoughts, but no marriage in heaven (Mt.22:30 etc), it seems to have been created for this earth. We can rejoice in God's gifts for here though, and those who go there won't feel a lack! Rhiannon
