Shining yellow celandines
(sun reflected as it shines):
mass of stars on hearts deep-green
(lovely background of the scene –
leaves with softly wavy edges,
marked with paler, purplish patches).
The greater celandine is quite
a different sort of plant, – its height
around two foot, – no sparkling cover.
It grows in May, by then the Lesser’s
whitening, withering, awaiting next year.

Again, another beautifully enigmatic poem, Rhiannon. We have some celandines in our field, and I hope they come up again this year.
The last two lines are quite magical, as is the rest, of course;-)
"t grows in May, by then the Lesser’s
whitening, withering, awaiting next year."
Very much enjoyed.
