Skip skrip skrape

Stone on stone clip clops

Two burning peepers pip peeping

 

Knees of rock that knock

Stay away from Malingee’s mound

Hollowed bones and hoarded

Furs feather and stones

 

Malingee’s warning

Click clack it echos back

In the bush whip whack

Stay away death is near

 

Whipped rock rustle crack

A stones throw thrown

Too late too late

Malingee is here

I sat down to write a story about that Malingee monster – and this poem fell out.  Oops.

 

I might still do the short story.
