let's talk about the civil war
the grey against the blue
please tell me what these colors mean
the themes behind the hues
.
the grey would seem so very dull
but this is not the case
for inside of the human, mind
there's matter, grey, in place
.
the blue would seem so very bright
but in this case, not true
for blue inside the human heart's
where sadness takes its cue
.
this battle rages on and on
when one fight has been won
there's two erupting down the road
new bloodshed has begun
.
that war was over long ago
but yet there still are ghosts
i have a few inside myself
and i've become their host
.
a war between the blue and grey
my heart defeats my mind
until my brain fights back again
those times, my heart is blind
.
it's not like i prefer unrest
i'd rather it was through
but until then, it's civil war
between my grey and blue
