you always were an L.A. girl
the desert called to thee
but sand could never keep you trapped
for all eternity
.
your spirit always was too strong
to leave your soul bereft
you thought that you'd come home
but no
you found you'd never left
.
you always were a loving girl
you tried to makes things work
you tried to waltz around the spots
where doubts would often lurk
.
you shrugged your shoulders one last time
relieved to lose the heft
you thought that you'd come home
but no
you found you'd never left
.
you always were my perfect girl
like two peas in a pod
the answer to my every dream
the even to my odd
.
you stole my heart away from me
but i don't mind the theft
you thought that you'd come home
but no
you found you'd never left
.

Hi Alvin,
A loving poem to someone special. They say Home is where the Heart is and where ever we go in life our heart always remains in the place we feel most comfortable. This is how I read this poem, hope my interpretation was right.
Anyway thanks for sharing and I hope you have the Best Christmas and a Very Happy New Year.
Jenny.
