The Museum of Small Things

Held in the palm of a mountainous hand
a tiny toy town of red roofs in snow
Akureyi, dwarfed by great giants of land,
holds a small treasure for those who would know,
collected by one man, life in small things:
door handles, bottle tops, nails and fish hooks,
needles and thimbles and keys and old rings,
objects discarded, which others forsook
he saw their value and shows them to share
that no thing is too small not to have worth
brief meditation on why we might care
for details of our little lives on earth:
each atom, each planet, life and death sings
we´re all in the museum of small things.

Details, details, details.
Details, details, details. You treat them well and they reward you. Enjoyed this a lot.

Hi Helen
Hi Helen
I loved the description of the tiny house on the mountainside and what fun to have a museum of little bits and pieces of nothing made into something by somebody caring about them.
