Through the half-light glimpse a roe deer
mackerel sky with blood is streaked
a setting sun has lost its battle
an eager moonrise – rosy cheeked.
Through the half-light glimpse a roe deer
dusk is falling – stars appear
starlings snake across the skyline
barn-owl streaks and new lambs bleat.
Through the half-light glimpse a roe deer
smell of bonfires’ smoky endings
soft as snowfall she comes creeping
through the dark that’s swift descending.
Through the half-light glimpse a roe deer
head erect – her nostrils twitching
fades the half-light takes her with it...
like a whisper – like a vision.

A lovely fleeting moment. Strange, I've been thinking about glimpses too.

So enjoyed catching up with
So enjoyed catching up with this one, Tina. So many little details brought in lightly. Liked the bonfires' end and the starlings. Rhiannon
