Bright lights, big smile

I try to care
Believe me, I honestly do
Then something done tips it all
over the edge
and its gone
And I don’t know how I’ll ever get it back
It’s just another low
Tomorrow
everything will be ok
Because it has to be
It has to be that way
The only way the sun can shine

The middle line in between
The middle line in between the two stanzas is effective at separating the sense of hopelessness from the self- convincing voice of the hopefulness of tomorrow. Says a lot in a short sharp, yet hugely relatable way. Tomorrow's a new day :)

Hi Kevin.
Hi Kevin.
You express what I recognize in myself, so well, written with the knowledge - from experience, that the low will pass. But a low is what it is while it's there, so I'll send you a hug and some calm thoughts to be going on with.
Bee xx

So hard getting through those
So hard getting through those times. Your poem strikes a chord and reminds me that this how life goes, no happy after but riding the waves waiting for sunrise to warm our backs. Hope the sun is shining.

As the great poets 'Jimmy Eat
As the great poets 'Jimmy Eat World' once sang - 'it just takes some time, little girl, you're in the middle of the ride, everything will be alright.' The wheel of fortune keeps going and pitches us where she pleases. Lovely, concise poetry here.
