Symmetry

After initial acceptance,
apprehension rears an ugly head.
How can one be brave
when fear has grabbed both hands
and dragged her down
the mirrored halls of chaos? Symmetry,
mildly valued in the past, will be replaced,
with shock. Scars will flash
back who she was -
who thought the balance of flesh the least
important aspect of herself. One is shallower
than once hoped, and disconcerted to know it.

I think they used to say
I think they used to say about wartime, that pretending not to feel fears, isn't bravery.
One is shallower than once hoped, and disconcerted to know it. is so telling of how we continue to learn more about ourselves. Rhiannon

Brave, honest, vivid and
Brave, honest, vivid and direct.
I found this line particularly moving; 'Symmetry, mildly valued in the past will be replaced, with shock.

Find this an astonishing piece - for representing symmetry.
But, It's so sad..., no one should prove his bravery, ever!
Only good thoughts to you, Bee!

Hi Bee, hope you're doing ok.
Hi Bee, hope you're doing ok. You are writing straight from your centre here and with great clarity and profundity. For me this piece triggered little physiological reactions; felt the little hairs stand up. Wonderful writing.

Dear Bee...as you know
Dear Bee...as you know already, your words hit 'home' for me, as far as my precious daughter is concerned, and the lines on 'symmetry', especially so.
'Scared is what you're feeling. Brave is what you're doing'.
Hats off to you.

Wonderfully moving, you bring
Wonderfully moving, you bring us to the core of this experience. This has the effect of illumination but also gives comfort that somehow we are not alone in the dark place of change.

Hi Bee
Hi Bee
Another profound and beautiful piece for your collection. You say what others are afraid to say, and sometimes are even afraid to hear.

Hi Bee,
Your words are an example to us all. Facing fear, but not letting it bring you to your knees is hard, but so important for survival. I doubt you are a shallow person, but I know how self analysis can ask tough questions.
Whatever happens, I hope you come through. When you do; you may not think it, but you will be a more complete person.

A self analytical piece shot
A self analytical piece shot through with shattering fact and an overt sense of perception. It encourages reader participation - contemplation. I believe that we're not meant to feel brave whilst we're being brave. We just crack on with intrepid fear in our hearts. You are braver than it all.
