Soundless

I am quiet most of the time
I just stare and blink
Trapped in a worldly observation
My words get frozen in a halt
My mouth opening
Then slowly closing
And I believe my thoughts are deadly
And there's probably a quarantine
Surrounding my lungs
Then people tend to ask me
"Why are you so quiet?"
I just smile and shrug
Because I don't know why
I am quiet most of the time
But my mind
My mind is l o u d
My mind is s c r e a m i n g
Screaming for release from confinement
To speak unspoken words
And to learn expression
I wish I weren't quiet
I wish I could share so easily
But emotions withhold themselves
And I am the one trapped
I don't know where to begin
Or where to start
Because my words
They get frozen in my muted mouth
In my swollen lungs

You describe this feeling so
You describe this feeling so well, I had some teenage years of silence. You certainly are eloquent with your unspoken written words!
I would edit a little to fine tune, words like 'just' and 'probably' etc. to sharpen it even more.
