Journey

Continuing the idea of one of my old hymns on Sundays:
My life is like a railway –
I travel on each day.
The bit that’s gone before now
for ever’s passed away.
I can’t go back,
so help me spend
my time much better ’til the end.
Yesterday won’t come back,
life is like a railtrack.
‘Now’ is passing quickly, soon it’s gone,
then tomorrow comes – the track goes on.
I don’t know how much further:
– much fun and lots to learn,
but if I waste this morning,
‘today’ cannot return.
There’s heaps to do,
you’re never bored,
when Jesus is your Guard and Lord.
Yesterday won’t come back,
life is like a railtrack.
‘Now’ is passing quickly, soon it’s gone,
then tomorrow comes – the track goes on.
Tune: ‘Tenderness’ by Adoniram J Gordon (‘O the love that sought me!)

Wisdom, Rhiannon!
Wisdom, Rhiannon!
The track may be long, it may be short...
but it's all we got...
so we must make the most of it...

Gosh, Rhiannon, I have to say
Gosh, Rhiannon, I have to say that this particular one in your series, is up there with my favourites. It has an effective driving beat, as of the tempo of a train, which really helps to hammer its more than salient points, home.
Much enjoyed.

Hi Rhiannon
Hi Rhiannon
You certainly do seem to have an endless supply of new ideas on how to present suggestions for a better life. Well done.
