Do not stop all the clocks, or disconnect the phones,
don’t placate all barking dogs with juicy bones...instead,
let it be known...spread the message via Facebook,
Twitter – get out those mobiles...scribble it on the sky.
Forget the dictionary, Oxford, Collins or otherwise;
as of this moment, there is a brand new definition
of the word, ‘Displacement’, which should read thus:
‘Body of small, Syrian boy, in red T shirt,
washed up on Turkish beach’.

How clever of you, Tina, to use the beginning of W.H.Auden's 'Funeral Blues', but in reverse, as a platform for your poignant message. That picture has become a symbol of the whole tragic situation and has awoken the conscience of many people.
