Chapter 10
Cyber Soul
Assuming Kia was still safely hiding in hidden on Chimera Kian kept his attention on his continued liberation of Luna. Having sealed all of its air locks, he had in effect acquired a captive audience. Now that he had placed all of Luna’s media outlets under his control, he gave all of Luna the good news…
Kian West simultaneously appeared on every television. Determined not to come off as arrogant or condescending he began his announcement with simple statements all the while carefully avoiding any edict sounding comments…
“People of the Moon, Kian West is my name. I lived on Earth a long time ago, before the wars, before the nuclear attacks, before the global destruction. The Company claimed my soul when I died 4,000 years ago. They were evil, now they are dead. They lied to you. They subjected you to needless danger to satisfy their sadistic lusts. The killed me, but in so doing they actually enabled me to take over the quantum computer that runs everything on Luna. Of course, all this sounds outrageous, but that does not mean it is not true.
What is does mean is that you are all free, free to go your ancestral home Earth. Yes Earth, it is perfectly safe, completely free of harmful radiation and populated with Chimeran hybrid humans. Chimera is real. It is Earth. It is your home if you care to share it with the Chimerans.
I have already begun construction of Exodus ships that will take you to Earth. I call them Exodus ships because Earth is your promised land, a world promised to you by the Company, but it was a promise they were never going to keep. I tell you now. I will keep that promise.”
People in every domed city saw Kian heard his words. Most did not believe, but being unable to contact the Company they talked amongst themselves. The more they talked the more they hoped Kian’s wonderful words were true.
To bolster their belief Kian granted all of Luna’s people unlimited time credits and full access to every chamber and level of every dome city. To gain more of their trust he gave them full access to the ship construction sites, never asking them to do anything but inspect and admire.
Nano bot robots did all the work. The Lunans had never seen robots. But their gleaming humanoid bodies were so pleasing to the eye, their ability to speak and interact with them so disarming even charming that they soon embraced them as they would a cherished pet.
By the time the first ship, Exodus 1 was ready people were lining up eager to board her, aching to go home to a place they had never been before….
Two months after Kian’s televised announcement Exodus 1 departed Luna fully manned and filled with convinced expectant passengers. Kian could finally relax. More ships would soon be ready. He had finally won over Luna’s population though patient benevolence and generosity. He had kept his promise. Now he could turn his attention to more self -centered pursuits, namely finding Kia and letting her know he was alive and all their enemies were dead.
Thinking he should have already contacted her and wondering why he could no longer sense her presence, he chalked it up to the fact they she was still hiding deep beneath Chimera’s crust curled up so snuggly in its’ blind spot that not even he could sense her. He was not far wrong….

So glad Kian's managed to
So glad Kian's managed to covince them that earth is now safe and Exodus 1 is on its way.
I wonder how long it will take for Kian to discover Kia's whereabouts!
Looking forward to more. Great read as always.
Jenny.
