what goes up

I pretend sometimes
to just disappear.
Click my fingers twice,
then fade into thin air.
To my parallel world
with the one I hold dear.
No problems to think of,
it's just us in here.
To a place without worry
where nothing is wrong,
no scowls on faces,
the others have gone.
In our parallel dream,
floating up to the sky,
we just laugh and play,
as the clouds float by.
And with parallel thoughts
everything is so calm,
there is no cause to hide,
I can be who I am.
But as we rise to the top
and hit the earths atmosphere
I know our bubble will pop
and you will disappear.
We not really parallel,
except in my dreams,
as substantial as the mist,
things aren't what they seem.
So without consolation,
to ground hard and rough,
I'll return on my own,
that's just life, it's just tough.

I like the way you've
I like the way you've captured this bit of escapism, Cassie! 'no cause to hide, I can be who I am'
It does seem a pity when people feel they can't be themselves in the real world, though others use the term 'I'm just being myself and honest', to give way to selfishness and unpleantness to others, which seems a travesty of being open, and honest, but loving. Rhiannon
