Chandelier

Crystals wept liquid sunlight
from a hotel window
into shattered prospects
just before the rent,
yet we, suspended in the dancing
atoms noticed nothing
for those fleeting moments -
eyes, spine, neck, breath,
multifaceted reflections
of us in the broken
then and there
of a shivering chandelier.
