One Way Only

 I will walk this way only once.

I cannot erase the steps I have already taken,

Right or wrong they mark my passage through this life.

What is said, what is done cannot be undone.

Yet though I may have strayed from the true path,

I can still see it's trail through the fog of my existence

so it is still not too late to change the course of my life.

Every stride measured by a conscience renewed.

Each day begins refocusing on my ultimate goal.

To have been and to have done something with my life.
