The Three Khusf

“If there will be only one day remaining in the span of the worldly life, Allah would elongate that day until He sends one of my offspring, whose name matches my name (Mohamed), and his father’s name matches my father’s name (Abdullah) — he will fill the world with justice and fairness just as it will have been filled with injustice and unfairness,[1]” said the Prophet referring to a forthcoming Caliph, which known as the Intended Mahdi.

According to the Prophet, the Mahdi is a broad-forehead, aquiline-nosed man, and he will rule for seven years, during which the nation of Islam will be basked in comfort and luxury life that they have never experienced before. “Allah will irrigate the lands with galore rains; the lands will get forth plentiful plants; he will be given enormous money, and cattle will grow healthy and sturdy.[2]” Muslims’ treasuries during that coming age will be heaped up with money that when anyone goes to ask this Caliph an offering of money it will be paid to him without counting, as much as the seeker can carry.

It is before the emergence of the Mahdi, I think, that there will occur three earth-swallows to which the prophet referred to occur among another ten presages of the world’s end. These three earth-swallow — pronounced khusf in Arabic — are represented in many ahaddieth to be one presage: “… and three earth-swallow: one will occur in east, one in the west, and one in Arabia [3]…”

Here I think that this unusual happening will hit three courts who, though belonging to Muslim rulers, will stand firmly against the idea of establishing a new Muslim Caliphate. Accordingly, the sites of these courts will be located as follows: one located in the east part of the Islamic world(UAE); the second located in the west part of the Islamic world(Egypt), while the third located in the Arabian Peninsula(KSA). As a result, the most majority of Muslims will be under no ruler, and thereupon Muslims will acclaim the Mahdi as their Caliph.

The Mahdi, most probably, is the refugee of the Sacred House of Mecca to which Prophet Mohammed refers in his haddieth: “Someone will take refuge with the House. An army will be sent against him; this army will be swallowed up by the earth in a desert land near Medina[4].” It not improbable here that the world powers, in an attempt to prevent the emergence of a new Caliphate, and in a trail to protect their interests in Middle East, will urge one of their agents to send the mentioned army to get rid of the Mahdi.

This “new” earth-swallow will first befall the middle of the army, and when the vanguard will call out to the rearguard, they will all be swallowed, “except for a few who will tell about them.[5]” From the ascending of the Mahdi onward, the nation of Islam will turn to be a world power.

My surmises have been increasing that Dr. Morsi,
Egypt's elected president, may be the one who will take refuge in the
Sacred House of Mecca, to whom the Prophet referred in a hadith. I even
think the three khusfs to which to the Prophet referred to occur in
three places in the world - one in the east, one in the west, one in
Arabia - will be the direct cause of Morsi's returning to his position
as a president of Egypt. I think, as well, that by the occurrence of the
fourth khusf to the army that will marsh against him while he will be
at Mecca, Muslims will acclaim Morsi as their Caliph.
If we accept
that the four khusfs will anticipate the rise of the Intended Mahdi,
then they will mark the end of the fourth stage and the beginning of the
final stage which Prophet Mohammed said that the nation of Islam would
go through: “Prophethood will remain in the nation whatever Allah wants;
and then He will end it whenever He wills. Then there will be a
Caliphate on the principles of prophethood whatever Allah wants; and He
will then end it whenever He wills. Then there will be a hereditary
royalty whatever Allah wants; and then He will end it whenever He wills.
Then there will be a forcible rule that will last whatever Allah wants;
then He will end it whenever He wills. Then there will be a Caliphate
on the principals of prophethood. ”
Obviously the nation of Islam
has gone through three stages of the five mention in the haddieth, and
is passing through the fourth one. Prophethood ended with the death of
the Prophet; a Caliphate on the principles laid down by the Prophet
followed it through the ruling of Abu Bukr, Omer, Othman, Ali, and ended
by the abdication of Al-Hassan to Muawiyah, the founder of the Umayyad
Dynasty; the hereditary royalty began with the arise of the Umayyad
Dynasty which followed by the Abbasid Dynasty, and ended with Ottoman
Dynasty in the early twentieth century.
The fourth stage through
which the nation of Islam is going through – “a forcible rule” – has
begun with the military rulers who have been ruling most of the Islamic
countries ever since the end of what known as the European Colonization.
This began almost in the middle of the twentieth century, and many
people today think that the Arab Spring marks in many ways the
glimmering dawn of the final stage, a Caliphate on the principles laid
down by the Prophet. Accordingly, it is not improbable that the three
khusfs will hit the rulers of United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and the
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who are all already showing a practical great
resistance for restoring of a new Caliphate.

In the previously cited comment, the Prophet's haddieth referred to five major stages through which the nation of Islam would pass― (1) Prophethood; (2) Caliphate on the principles of Prophethood; (3) succession monarchy; (4) forcible rule, (5) Caliphate on the principles of Prophethood. We find that the beginning and the end of all the mentioned stage are – after God's Will – "manmade" except Prophethood, which its beginning and end are totally allotted to Allah. In my opinion, it is to Prophet Muhammad's Prophethood that the thumb in Raba Sign is referring, while each one of the four fingers refer to one of the four other stages the Prophetical Speech mentioning to.

If the Egyptian Khusf, the one in the west, is to occur at night, I would assume that Dr. Morsi is the Intended Mahdi.

A khusf is a sinkhole that spontaneously shuts up what it swallowwed withen it; a sinkhole does not shut up.

I think that the salvation to the Syrian revolution will come through the presage of the Euphrates’ retarding of a mount of gold, to which the Prophet referred in his hadith as follow: “The water of Euphrates has neared to retreat, revealing a gold mount. When people will hear about that, they will go there; they will say if we leave other people obtain it they will finish it totally. They will fight each other; of every 100 persons will go there, 99 of them will be killed and only one will return back alive.[1]”

In my opinion, all the soldiers of the armies exist in Syria at present will fight each other, not in favor of their countries, but every soldier will fight for his own desire to obtain his share of that coveted treasure. It is this very individuality, I think, that will lead to the enormous death rate mentioned in the above cited hadith. The relief to the Syrian people will be with this "self-annihilation" of the foriegn armies found on the lands of their country.
