some people fish for trout
but most will fish for anything
their little poles pull out
.
some people fish for halibut
some people fish for skate
but me ?
i fish for compliments
yet lack the proper bait
.
some people go for pokemon
some people go for broke
but most will go for anything
with mirrors and some smoke
.
some people go for movie stars
some people go for jocks
but me ?
i go for what i want
is that a paradox ?
.
some people look for happiness
some people look for joy
but most will look for anything
to be their latest toy
.
some people look for sympathy
some people look away
but me ?
i look up at the stars
and choose that time to pray

You do have a mastery of rhythm and creating catching word patterns, Alvin.

The stars do shed light on our smallness, don't they, and prayer is what all want, though so often unrecognised, because of 'toy distractions'. Rhiannon
