Colour Blind

Freedom!
Freedom!
I can still hear them shout
For you and I
They marched in unision
and remained colour blind
In order to create freedom in my mind
Freedom!
Freedom!
I can still hear them shout
For you and I
They marched in unision
and remained colour blind
Brothers and sisters with different skin tones
All in unmarked graves history never mentioned the unnamed
Yet it is their legacy we have claimed
Freedom!
Freedom!
I can still hear them shout
For you and I
They marched in unision
and remained colour blind
They were forced to recognise
That problem that still clouded our minds
When they cried their tears were the same
Never did they cast any blame
Freedom!
Freedom!
I can still hear them shout
For you and I
They marched in unision
and remained colour blind
All of them carrying some sort of pain
Their blood didn't ask skin colour or name
When we look back now
Did they make those sacrifices in vain

Freedom! Yes, that's what we need. Also love peace and equality. I like your poem.

Yes wonderful Mary-Anne but it might
Yes wonderful Mary-Ann, but it might turn out "freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose".
All the best!
