Fog!

A milky shroud,
damp cloud,
muting, hushing,
smudgy trees emerge,
and fade, disappear
under wraps.
I feel enclosed,
no sight
of sky or hills,
fields or
cheerful sunlight:
I know
they’re there,
so,
on I go
patiently persevere
until they reappear.

I love the stillness of this and the faith of knowing something's there when you can't see it.

Some wonderful descriptions of being in fog Rhiannon.
Last time I was in thick fog was on Bodmin Moor back in the 1970s, it was a very strange situation and one I haven't experienced since.
Jenny.
