janus is a two-faced god
with powers to transcend
for he prepares beginnings
and he cleans up at the end
.
he holds in hand, the gate key
that unlocks the doors of time
allowing for the plantings
bound for harvestings, sublime
.
he keeps the orbs in motion
juggles sun and moon and earth
he'll doctor them in vintage
as he nursed them at their birth
.
his ledger's folded over
pages east and pages west
precisely in the middle
is the realm he loves the best
