Once there were two little girls called Sandy and Sue; two orphan girls who, after their parents had died, had been forced to live with their Aunt and one day they were walking in the forest when they saw an old man sitting on a rock with a fishing rod in his hands.
"Sir", Sandy asked him, "How can you catch anything in the forest when there is no river and no fish?".
"Ahh but this is no ordinary fishing rod", he said to her, "Its a wishing rod for catching wishes".
Then however, the man said he felt as if he had caught something but that he wasn't strong enough to land it on his own and so the little girls took hold of his magic fishing rod aswell and they all pulled together.
It was very difficult because the wish pulled hard upon the rod, infact it pulled so hard that they were almost all pulled up into the air but they pulled hard in the other direction and eventually the old man reeled the wish in.
But then the Old Man, unhooking the wish, handed it to them saying, "You deserve this wish for being such good little girls and helping an old man".
So then the two little girls, thanking the old man, went home taking the wish with them.
Unfortunately their Aunt because she was cruel, greedy and conniving had only taken them in and agreed to look after them because secretly she wanted to kill them and steal the fortune their parents had left to them in their will and so, saying that she was going to the market and telling them to keep all the doors and windows of the house locked and not to let anyone in, she let out a shadowy swarm of she-demons that she kept in a bottle and left them to kill the girls.
And the she-demons, in the form of smoke and shadows crept under the locked door of the house and, slithering up the stairs of the house went to the room of the little girls to kill them.
Now the two little girls were sitting on their bunkbeds talking and wondering what they should use the wish for that the old man had given them and Sandy thought that they should wish for sweets and toys but Sue thought they should wish for pretty new dresses.
However, when Sandy and Sue saw the terrible she-demons, all clutching knives and little hatchets and hammers, they were so frightened that they both knew straightaway what to wish for and joining hands they both wished,
"Oh we wish some one would save us, please".
And when they wished this, suddenly they both heard the sound of someone break down the door of the house and come running up the house stairs and as they did they heard the voice of the old man shouting,
"I'm coming, girls. Don't worry".
But then the She- Demons, hearing the old man coming to rescue the girls made the door of their room slam shut and then they held it shut with all their magical might.
So then the old man, using one of the wishes he had caught with his wishing rod, turned himself into an old Billy goat and started to charge into the door like a battering ram.
"Oh, please. Oh please hurry", shouted the little girls as he was trying to break down the door.
But then, suddenly, the old Billy Goat came crashing through the door.
Ofcourse, when they saw it, the She- demons turned themselves into a billy goat to lock horns with it.
But the moment that the demonic Billy goat started to charge, the man, using another of his wishes, turned himself back into a man and holding a large open sack and the she-demons, unable to stop, charged right into the sack.
And because the sack was a magic sack the she-demons, though they struggled to, couldn't escape.
But then the old man turned the dark creatures in the sack into angels of white light and, opening the sack again, he let all the angels come bursting out, filling the room with their light and their singing.
"Oh they're so beaufiful", said Sandy as she saw the angels.
"Yes they are", gasped Sue.
But then the old man took the little girls home to live with him in his cottage and they repaid his kindness by doing the chores of milking and churning the old mans magic butter churn that turned cream into golden coins instead of butter.
And when they weren't busy they would all take magical trips; travelling to the moon and stars upon a flying four poster bed or sailing across the ocean in a magic bathtub.
Unfortunately, the Aunt of the two little girls never stopped searching for them and when she found them she went to see the Queen of the demons and the Queen of the demons agreed to help her in exchange for bringing her the old man who had long been her enemy.
Then the Queen of the demons plunged a hand deep into the womans wicked soul and pulled out a monstrous two headed baby that grew until it became gigantic, sending it out to kill the old man and the two girls.
And the monster baby's two heads emitted terrible wailing cries that could drive anyone mad but
fortunately, the old man hearing the creatures cries told the girls to put their fingers in each others ears and to sing and shout to block out the magical noise and then he went out to face the monster, strumming upon his magical lute and singing a lullaby.
And, because the giant monster was a baby, the lullaby started to make it sleepy.
First the first head of the two headed giant closed its eyes and yawned, then the second head closed its eyes and yawned and, curling up upon the ground the giant fell asleep, each of the giant heads sucking a giant thumb.
And as it slept the monster shrank littler and littler until, rather than a two headed giant baby it became two little baby dolls.
But then the old man gave one baby doll to Sandy and the other to Sue.
And when the Demon Queen saw that the Aunts monster baby had failed to capture the old man she got so angry that she opened one of her three giant mouths wide and swallowed the screaming Aunt whole.
Then, when the Aunt was no longer a danger to them Sandy, Sue and the Old Man, within their little cottage, lived happily ever after.
