Daylight lengthening,
sunlight strengthening,
weakening winter’s grip,
but temperatures dip
as cold air currents slip
in, and thick grey cloud
blocks sunshine – veiling shroud:
inexorably spring’s fresh grasp,
shakes off the paralysing clasp –
and bulbs and buds extrude,
we watch green growth protrude –
shout spring has sprung at last,
another winter’s past!

An enjoyable read, Rhiannon, a nicely rhymed poem full of clever alliterations. Well done.
