Parallel

The only lines that never intersect
run parallel.
Could it be
that I am here
Being me
And you are near,
but I don’t see
the way you go?
It seems that we
will never know
each other.
Our lives align,
advancing on,
And by design,
we move along
our parallel lines,
our parallel streets.
Your story’s mine;
we never meet.
To turn away
From our course
and change, and grow
is how we greet
each other.
We must diverge
if we’re to meet,
and turn the corner,
cross the street,
for we can be
one and the same,
and you will never
know my name
as long as our lives
Run parallel.

i like the concept
that underlines the poem. I feel it's a bit wordy however...
maisie Guess what? I'm still alive!
