What Would Have I Done In My Saviour's Time?

"Did you hear about the preacher? He says he is God's son!" my very much gossip-lover of a friend questioned.
"I will choose what to believe when I see him." I said, coolly.
Personally, I had no clue how I would get Jesus to talk to me. His disciples were always with him. I heard he worked miracles on sick people. In fact, he healed my blind neighbor. I started to believe he was the Messiah when my blind neighbor described the town's garden that my mother had helped put together. He was blind and now he sees. I also heard Jesus was willing to talk to anyone.
"My mom is yelling at me from my home." my friend said, leaving me to think.
He healed the sick. God supposedly came down from the sky when John baptized him. He has to be God's son.
"You lost?" a voice from behind me said.
One of Jesus' disciples!
"Uhhhhmmmmmmmmmm....Hello! Is there a way you can tell me about the miracles of-" I started.
Jesus suddenly stood in front of me, as if he came from nowhere.
I got down on my knees and stuttered out at him "Tell me....tell me...are you really God's son, born of a virgin? Mary....Mary is her name..."
His face just shows compassion, love, and understanding. I believe the stories of people traveling from miles to see the birth of the Messiah. This man has got to be God's son. He smiled down at me.
"Stand up." Jesus said with no harshness at all in his voice.
"Hello."
"Hello. Samantha, you are going to the water well to get water for your family. It will be cold."
"Yes...How do you know?"
"I know a lot. I have to go to my last supper. See you in the kingdom." Jesus said, walking away with a feeling of comfort following him.
The eleven more disciples follow him. Why does the first disciple, the twelfth, stand so close to Jesus? I can completely think Jesus is crazy because of what he says, but I do not believe he is crazy. What is his last supper? How does he know I am going to the water well for my family? He must be the son of God. I must go get water now. Come on, Samantha, walk.
Slowly, I began to walk to the well, thinking of my experience. Does he mean his last meal? He is so nice. I do not want him to go. I wonder if the kingdom is heaven. EEK the water is cold. The wise and the Jewish are persecuting him. Probably so. How awful. I do not see why they would have to kill him, if that is what he means.
Slowly, I dragged my feet home, feeling sorry that Jesus was eating his last supper and I began getting into deep thoughts.
People say because of him, we will have forgiveness of sins. Is that why he is going to die?
Author's notes:
What my faith really believed happened: Jesus was the son of God. He became man and died on the cross to show his love for us. No matter how much faith we have and love, we can not even begin to feel the love God feels for us.
Religions split after his death. The Jews do not believe the man crucified was Jesus. Christians, like me, believe Jesus was the son of God and in God. We also believe in the holy trinity. Some christians believe differently. For example, my faith, Roman Catholics (a type of Christianity) believe Mary was born sinless. Other christians believe Mary was not born sinless.
IT DOES NOT MATTER YOUR FAITH, HOW YOU LOOK, OR WHETHER OR NOT YOU ARE DISABLED, IT MATTERS ONLY WHO YOU ARE AT HEART AND HOW YOU TREAT OTHERS.
What would you do if you lived in the time of the person you think is the greatest? I encourage you to write your own story, not of Jesus, but of a deceased person you think is the greatest.

I don't share your faith, but
I don't share your faith, but I respect what is obviously your heartfelt commitment to your beliefs, and the lovely plea for tolerance at the end. It is always interesting to think what we would do if we met the people we admire and respect the most. Thank you for sharing your ideas.
