Who am I

As the tree-tops gently quiver
And silver clouds fly by
Rain clouds ever gather
Over mountains in the sky
Who am I?
Who am I?
As the sun breaks through the rain
I open up my eyes
I hear music gently playing
Moving me to rise
Who am I?
Who am I?
The gentle breeze awakes the tree
For under there I was set free
Butterflies through glowing leaves
Wipe away my tears and fears
Who am I?
Who am I?
My cancer was three years ago
How fast the time does fly
Thank you for believing
As I watch the clouds and sigh
Who am I?
Who am I?
I don't say I have the gift of sight
To listen to another's plight
But cancer needs a listening hand
To help, encourage and understand
That's who I am
That's who I am

I liked the level of repetition here too. I also like the phrase 'listening hand' – there can be such a lot of communication through a gentle hand/touch, indicating listening, noticing, understanding, sympathy, concern, encouragement … Rhiannon

Descarte had an atheist
Descarte had an atheist opponent who challenged him in the royal court for prove for the queen that God exists. Descarte gave him a note and the man dropped in his tracks right there. No-one else read the note. This is truth save detail although it might have been another famous mathematician.

A listening ear to the
A listening ear to the suffering. I like how you bring nature into the equation Edward.
I think we become spiritual when faced with the C word.
Thank you for sharing this moving poem.

And I have to assume you cannot tell us what the "C" word is? All these difficult high words on Abc confuses me people just carry on apparently assuming we the reader now all English words and how clever they are. And if you ask they are sarcastic.

I apologise it does make sense
I apologise it does make sense I thought later on that with the religious ideas you were reffering to Jesus. I should not have been so lighthearted you've been very patient.
By the way the anecdote on the mathematician is true.
See you around! Tom Brown
