someone's career may fall

like a house of cards.

One expects "character-challenged"

politicians' unpalatable views

to expose them for what they are.

But those we have admired?

Someone as right-on

as we believe ourselves to be?

What ever happened to...

I think we know:

no more heroes

any more.
