Woven together in the depth of the womb,
expelled in due time to a sheltering home,
to be cared for and loved, well nurtured and taught,
nourished and guided with faithful support:
a labour of love, hard graft, joy and fun,
there’s years of such duties when once begun.

Aghast if a child left to flounder unfed;
don’t leave them to blunder in the world, unled.

There's always so much to do when a baby comes into the world. Much patience are needed, but still as a mother I remember feeling constant worries of whether I was doing the job right. Luckily I had a great health visitor.

Best make the most of the freedom while baby is still in the womb.

Thanks, Jenny, there's that feeling that 'I feel so ignorant, but I'm still the only one able to look after him/her'. Good to have good advice around, and I appreciated God's support through the difficulties. But there is much joy too! Of course grandparents have mostly the latter!

I think sometimes these days parents can be afraid of leading and giving boundaries, afraid of being thought strict, and there is a danger of children left groping with how to cope in the real world and everyone getting cross or hurt. Rhiannon
