Christmas Past And Present

Candles radiated
warmth in
my
heart,
fairy lights twinkled
at start
of
twilight,
reminding me of
Christmas's
gone
before.
Though I age
magic of
youth
never disappears,
we stumbled
through the
night from one
party to the next,
houses full to busting
with laughter,
there was
music so loud,
we were
party revelers many
as smooches
we shared.
*
Spirit of Season
has come
around
once again,
as those
festivities
begin to
unravel...
dizzy with shopping when we've
caroused every store,
gifts for loved ones
and a whole lot more.
Now relax
rest assured,
take pleasure in
reflecting on...
holly, robins
and
mistletoe
kisses,
turn up
the music
or read
a good book,
there's time to write a
story or poem,
catching the eye
with a great hook.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS 2017
ABC TALES
TO ONE
AND
ALL.

Did not expect the ending.
Did not expect the ending..very well done, nice segue to Christmas wishes. Your words on revelers and party smooches took me back a bit too...my husband and I kissed for the first time on New Years Eve at a friends house party...great memory you unearthed for me too.
Merry Christmas and best New Year ever....!
