Doesn't seem that long ago, l used to date this lad
Exciting, getting ready, with the music blaring out
Dipping into pots of sumptuous, scented, silky cream
Pulling on silk stockings, sighing, dreaming lover's dreams
Nowadays unfortunately, the rubbing-on l do
Is for pesky arthritis l have in my limbs and toe
As far as sexy lingerie goes, it's been replaced with these
Uncomfortable bandages for very dodgy knees
When we were young, if lucky, all could skip along the street
Turning, shifting, lifting stuff, it was a breeze, indeed
But older now, the heads are bent to avoid pavement trips
Wiping dribble that's escaped a dentured, sagging lip
So, in conclusion, please enjoy your every waking breath
And remember, keep this mantra with you
HEALTH IS Bloomin' WEALTH

Ah yes, those pesky knees.
Ah yes, those pesky knees. When I kneel down to do something now, I have to make sure there's leverage handy for when I want to get up again. This brought a smile to these particular aged lips.
