Memorable Moments

What are the memorable moments of my life?
I have survived for seventeen extensive years.
Several moments, in my mind, are endlessly ripe.
I have shed numerous and countless sorrowful tears.
The moment I placed third in the U.S. open,
was a moment that will always bring pride.
Like the moment I had defeated the men,
and the time I’d admitted weakness as I cried.
The moment that I got my first kitten,
will always bring such pure happiness.
I got him on Christmas Eve with a toy van.
He was shy and hid with all his fuzziness.
I even remember getting my beautiful second cat.
She was feisty and soaked to the bone, from the rain.
She was really hurt and sadly abandoned in the past.
She followed my mom, like the shadow, that’s her name.
I surprisingly remember moving when I was almost two.
The cold wind hit my sensitive face as I waited in the dark.
I was so confused and lost that it practically seemed cruel.
I was then led outside by my father’s large hand, so warm.
I once got in a painful argument with my mother.
It broke my delicate heart and brought forth tears.
It was after the fight, that my heart found its cure.
She wrote a sorrowful letter full of her heart’s tears.
These are the memories that make me, me.
I may not remember the exact date and time,
but they mold me into who I am and will be.
These are my memorable moments in their prime.

I think that it's so wise to
I think that it's so wise to write down those special memories, to be able to hold onto them is really important. Like you say, they're what makes you as a person.
Your poem was inspiring.
Jenny.
