i hate my small town.

it is filled with ghosts.

ghosts of people who smiled
and stabbed

ghosts of people who lied
and held me as i cried

ghosts of people who loved me once
but have now forgotten how

ghosts of people I loved
who died

i hate my small town.

You've illustrated the claustrophic effect of too many years in a small place. Funny how it doesn't seem to bother some people but for freedom seeking people like me and clearly you too it's stifling. Skilfully worded as london said.
