I’m SO glad that this week the Judge allowed the youth who kidnapped, raped and murdered a six-year-old girl has allowed him to be named!
For him to do over one hundred injuries on her tiny body, he does not need protecting or hiding behind what he has done. For if he can do that at sixteen, what will he do at age twenty-six.
In my view, they should get rid of the, “Too young to be named.” If they can kill or do harm like that, everyone should know their name.
Why should they be protected? Who is going to benefit from that?
RIP Alesha MacPhail.

I am not sure. The little
I am not sure. The little girl's grandmother is reported saying she wished they had not named him? If the rest of the family feel that also, maybe their wishes should have been put first?
If the boy who did this wanted notoriety, if there is even the tiniest possibility that this need for fame contributed to his actions, then it would be better if he were nameless, faceless, forgotten. Not having his photo everwhere as inspiration for others as seems to happen with school shootings in America. There is also the other members of his family. . I don't think they should suffer too?
