Away from city lights, on a dark night, gazing up at the velvet, endless sky, it gives a new persepctive. We are so small, so inconsequential in the scheme of this expansive universe. It humbles and makes me aware of the fragile workings of our world. Thanks for reading my little poem and for leaving a comment, I always appreciate your thoughts. smiley

I've just been to a new van Gogh exhibition - what they call an 'immersive experience', with a sort of son et lumiere to start with and then a virtual reality trip through some of the paintings.  Your poem reminds me of his starry night skies.  You evoke a beautiful atmosphere with this piece.

Thank you airyfairy, I use to love to roam through the Metropolitan Museum in New York when I lived there. My older sister started taking me there when I was little and those painitngs of dark skies and wonderment like starry starry night always captured my imagination. The Van Gogh exhibition experience sounds amazing and definitely something I'd love to see. smiley
