THE LITTLE DOG AND THE BABY BOAR.

Little pup Mutsly has just been adopted by a kind family who live in the country near a forest. He is only a month old and was born in an apartment.

From the day of his arrival he was dying to see the forest as it was a place he knew nothing about, not because he wanted to leave his new masters, but just out of curiosity. He slipped under the gate and set off to explore the huge forest. Under trees that he had never seen before he marvelled at all that he saw, butterflies, frogs, birds, fallen leaves of every colour that carpeted the floor, mushrooms, tiny insects, so many things that he had never seen. He was so distracted by all that he saw that he forgot time and distance. When night fell he wanted to go home but could not remember the way. He turned around and around and started barking his little puppy's bark.Suddenly he saw coming towards him an animal he had never seen before.

"Hello" said Mutsly "What are you?"

"I am a wild boar, my name is Snouty. What are you doing here all alone?"

"I am lost because I was curious."

"Don't worry, I know this forest by heart but night has fallen, so come home with me , my parents are there and early tomorrow morning we'll take you home."

"Thank you, that is very kind of you."

They set off to Snouty's home where his parents were astounded to see him arrive with a puppy.

"What has happened to you little dog? Where have you come from?"

Mutsly explained what had happened to him, they all had supper then went to bed for a good night's rest, to be ready to set off on the following morning.

"Up everyone!"  Snouty called after a good night's rest "Mum and Dad we need to take my new friend Mutsly home. His family must be worried."

Everyone got ready and they all set off for Mutsly's home.

When they came out of the forest Mutsly recognised his house, saw his overjoyed family running towards him, running and jumping with joy. They thanked the wild boars and invited them all to come and  play with Mutsly in the garden as often as they wanted. From that day Mutsly and Snouty became the best of friends and his familydid all they could to protect the wild boars.
